Kos (Cos) is a small Greek island, part of the Dodecanese group, and measures 40 by 8 km. It is located only 4km from the cost of Bodrum Turkey and has a population of a little over 30,000. It is the third largest island of the Dodecanese and the second most popular Greek island after Rhodes. It is comprised of three municipalities: Kos (its largest town), Dikaio, and Irakleides.
Kos has a well organised tourist infrastructure and offers a wide variety of accommodations. Visitors will be impressed by its numerous picturesque villages, fine beaches and diverse landscape consisting of both fertile plains and infertile highlands.
